ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Maison Lipowa is the vision of Natalia Lech, a Polish-born designer whose life and travels across the globe have shaped her way of seeing the world - always searching for beauty, always collecting memories.
Nostalgia is a theme that strongly permeates throughout the brand, conjuring up idillic memories of childhood and teenage years in Poland. Natalia is inspired by the past. Memories, dreams, nostalgia are interwoven with symbolism, meaningful words, numerology, and myth.
Natalia’s designs are always elegant with a penchant for playful themes. Designed in Spain & Poland and conceptualized in hand-carved waxes.
“ I’m always looking for beauty in the world around me. I am inspired by memories of my childhood, the stories of my parents youth and their past. I love the idea of nostalgia, because in our memories our past is always beautiful. It makes us see the world in rose-tinted hues. To me, beauty is most present in the simple things and in everyday life. It’s present in the harmony of nature and the harmony of our cosmos.
For me, the act of creating is about capturing a memory, a moment, a thought, a vision and eternalizing it with precious metals and gems. Creating is the most amazing capacity we have as humans. Natalia’s journey with jewellery began in childhood starting with a fascination for rocks and minerals, eventually turning into formal studies at the Hong Kong Design Institute and GIA. Before founding Maison Lipowa, she gained experience working with a bespoke jeweler in Hong Kong, deepening her love for the art of jewellery design. Since then Natalia has honed her craft and jewellery making skills across traditional workshops in Hong Kong, London & Spain.
